From September 22-26, Martin & I were in the American Southwest, travelling from Tucson, Arizona to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
this will eventually be our actual route, not just maps, and will hyperlink to the pictures & descriptions of each area:
maps courtesy (ok, maybe not courtesy) of Magellan
Here are a few of the pictures I've gotten scanned in so far:
Sunset in the Painted Desert - you can't see all the mosquitos, but this old kiva was cool. (56K)
Petrified Forest Lizard - this 5-inch lizard sat patiently while Martin & I burned a couple rolls of film on him. (38K)
Newspaper Rock Petroglyphs - a detail of a few of the glyphs in the Painted Desert. (14K)
Petrified Wood Fragment - a closeup of an awfully colorful piece. (66K)
Z in the Morning - gratuitously artsy self-portrait. (52K)
Z & Martin after the Sunrise - we got up darn early & we look happy about it. (62K)
VLA Dishes & Train Tracks - some of the 81-foot-diameter dishes at the Very Large Array (b/w, 20K)
